Questions? We've got answers.
Most funding platforms are databases. You upload a pitch deck, fill a form, and wait - anonymously - in a queue with thousands of others.
Accompany Akki is different because trust is already built before the first conversation happens.
Our podcast has hosted India's most credible founders, CXOs, and investors. Every episode builds a public record of who these people are, how they think, and what they stand for. When a startup founder appears on Accompany Akki, investors don't just see a deck - they see the founder's thinking, communication, conviction, and story in long-form.
For investors, that means warmer, higher-quality deal flow with context already attached. For startups, that means getting in front of capital with credibility already established. We don't just connect founders and investors - we create the environment where that connection is worth something.
Partnering with Accompany Akki gives you three things most deal-sourcing channels don't:
Curated, pre-qualified deal flow. Every startup we feature or refer has gone through our evaluation lens - they've demonstrated a story worth telling, a problem worth solving, and a founder worth backing. You're not sifting through cold applications.
Public positioning as the go-to investor for ambitious Indian founders. A featured episode conversation on our podcast puts your fund in front of thousands of career-focused professionals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring founders - the exact pipeline of tomorrow's deal flow. Our audience sees you as the investor who backs real builders.
Warm introductions, not cold emails. Because founders in our network already know and trust Accompany Akki, an introduction from us carries weight. First meetings start with credibility on both sides of the table, which means faster, more honest conversations - and better outcomes for everyone.
If you're an angel, early-stage fund, or growth investor looking to be known as the fund that backs India's next generation of breakout founders, this is where that relationship starts.
The process is straightforward, and it's designed to do more than just submit your name into a list.
Step 1 - Apply. Fill out the startup investment application on this page. Tell us about your company, the problem you're solving, your traction so far, the funding stage you're at, and what you're looking for in an investor.
Step 2 - Review. Our team reviews your application for fit - we look at the strength of the founder story, the clarity of the problem-solution thesis, and the stage alignment with investors in our network.
Step 3 - Conversation. If there's a fit, we schedule a conversation with you. This isn't just due diligence - it's us understanding your story deeply enough to represent you credibly to the right investors.
Step 4 - Positioning & Connection. Depending on the partnership model, this could include a podcast episode that builds your public narrative, a curated introduction to aligned investors in our network, or co-created content that tells your fundraising story to a highly relevant audience.
Step 5 - The Room. We make the warm introduction. You take it from there.
We don't promise cheques. We promise access, context, and credibility - the three things that actually get you into the right rooms.
We work across stages - from pre-seed founders with a strong thesis and early validation, to Series A companies actively scaling and seeking strategic capital.
That said, stage alone doesn't determine fit. What makes a strong application is:
A founder who can tell the story. Investors don't just back ideas - they back people. We look for founders who can articulate the problem with clarity and talk about their journey with honesty, including the hard parts.
A real problem with demonstrated thinking. You don't need to have cracked product-market fit, but you do need to have deeply understood the problem you're solving. Early traction, user research, or domain expertise all count.
Clarity on what the capital is for. Vague fundraising goals make vague conversations. The strongest applications know exactly what this round achieves and what the company looks like on the other side of it.
Skin in the game. We prioritise founders who are fully committed - not exploring fundraising as a side option.
If you're pre-idea or pre-MVP, we'd encourage you to come back once you have early validation. If you're post-revenue and scaling, we're absolutely ready to talk
Our vetting is not a checklist - it's a conversation.
Before we make any introduction to an investor in our network, we do the following:
Founder Story Review. We assess how clearly and compellingly the founder can articulate the mission, the problem, and the traction. A strong investor pitch starts with a strong founder narrative - and we help surface that.
Business Fundamentals Check. We look at the core metrics relevant to stage - revenue, growth rate, burn, team composition, and market size. We're not a due diligence firm, but we need to believe the numbers make sense for the story being told.
Investor-Startup Fit Mapping. We don't do spray-and-pray introductions. We match startups to investors based on sector focus, stage preference, check size, and the investor's own stated thesis. A SaaS founder gets introduced to SaaS-focused angels or VC - not a healthcare-only VC.
Public Credibility Building. For startups we feature on the podcast, the episode itself becomes a live proof-of-quality signal. Investors listening know this founder has been put through a rigorous conversation in public - that takes confidence and clarity.
The result: investors trust that a referral from Accompany Akki means something. And founders know they're being positioned, not just forwarded
An introduction is the beginning of a fundraise, not the fundraise itself. Here's what Accompany Akki does that most platforms don't:
Narrative Building through Podcast. A long-form podcast conversation is one of the most powerful fundraising assets a founder can have. It publicly demonstrates your thinking, your credibility, and your vision - in your own words. Investors do their research before the first call, and finding a thoughtful, well-produced episode featuring you does more work than any cold email follow-up.
Audience Trust Transfer. Our audience already trusts Accompany Akki's editorial judgment. When we feature a startup or founder - on the podcast, in the newsletter, or on our social platforms - that trust transfers. Investors in our network see featured founders through a lens of credibility, not cold outreach.
Community Access. Founders who partner with us get access to our VC & Angel Network and even WhatsApp community of engaged professionals, investors, and fellow founders. This is an ongoing relationship, not a one-time transaction.
Content as Proof. Distributed across YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, and Substack - a podcast episode generates search-discoverable, permanently accessible content that compounds in value long after your raise closes. Investors who missed your raise come back for the next one because they already know who you are.
We're not a fund. We're the platform that makes founders fundable - before, during, and after the round.
We believe in radical transparency here, so let's be direct.
For Investors / VCs / Angels: Partnership with Accompany Akki is structured as a strategic collaboration - it includes finders' fee or commission model based on mutual agreement. We work with investors through brand partnership agreements, co-hosted content, and deal-flow access programmes. The specific structure depends on the depth of the partnership and the investor's goals. There is no charge per introduction - we focus on relationships and success and not transactions.
For Startups: Accompany Akki does not take equity in the companies we feature or introduce. We are not a fund, an accelerator, or an incubator. There are partnership and content packages available for startups that want full platform support - including podcast features, brand amplification, and curated investor introductions - which are priced based on the scope of support. Startups with compelling stories may be featured editorially, based on merit and fit.
What we are not: We are not a SEBI-registered investment advisor, a broker, or a placement agent. We do not guarantee funding, valuations, or specific investor outcomes. We create the environment and the credibility for the right conversations to happen - the decision to invest always sits entirely with the investor.
For specific partnership or application discussions, reach out through the contact form and we'll set up a direct conversation.
