About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on the critical
support of our internal applications framework. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability,
performance, and scalability of server applications built on our standard Java/Kotlin framework. You will work closely
with development teams to streamline deployment processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize our
infrastructure for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert-level DevOps support for applications built on our internal Java/Kotlin Apps Framework,
ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability within the Borg environment.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand application requirements, provide
infrastructure guidance, and optimize deployment pipelines.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java/Kotlin applications, leveraging Git and
containerization technologies.
• Debug and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues across the entire stack, from code to
container orchestration and underlying systems.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (GKE or self-managed) for deploying and scaling applications,
including Helm chart management, ingress configuration, and workload troubleshooting.
• Monitor system health and performance, implementing effective alerting and logging strategies.
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, including replication, backup, performance tuning, and query
optimization.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices, tools, and infrastructure.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the organizations
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Git for source code management, including advanced branching
strategies.
• In-depth understanding of Docker, encompassing image creation, registry management, and container
lifecycle management.

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes (GKE or self-managed), including Helm, ingress controllers, scaling
strategies, and troubleshooting complex workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage,
Spanner, Cloud SQL, GKE, Pub/Sub, Monitoring & Logging.
• Good working knowledge of MySQL, including replication, backup strategies, performance tuning, and
query optimization.
• I am proficient in Java programming language with the ability to debug and troubleshoot application code.
• Proven experience in debugging complex systems involving containers, orchestration tools (e.g.,
Kubernetes), and cloud services (especially GCP).
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, with a proactive and ownership-driven
mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell Script and Python.
• Experience with other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker Swarm.
• Familiarity with Maven for build automation
• Certified in Kubernetes (e.g., CKA, CKAD).
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
