We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Risk Officer to join our team. As a Credit Risk Officer
at Mahila Money, you will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management policies and
strategies, analyzing credit applications, and monitoring and managing our credit risk exposure. You will
evaluate and assess the risk associated with lending money to women entrepreneurs or businesses they
run by reviewing financial statements, credit scores, and other relevant information.
What will your story at Mahila Money write?
● You will develop and implement risk management policies and strategies to ensure the credit
risk department operates effectively.
● You will analyze loan applications and assess creditworthiness to determine the level of credit
risk.
● You will monitor and manage our credit risk exposure to ensure it stays within acceptable levels.
● You will ensure efficient processing of credit applications
● You will collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure
that credit risk policies and strategies align with the company's overall objectives.
● You will monitor and stay up-to-date with changes in the credit market, credit regulations, and
risk management practices to ensure the company's credit risk management remains effective.
● You will prepare and present credit risk reports to senior management
● You will analyze and evaluate data to determine the level of risk associated with lending to a
woman entrepreneur or her business
● You will review financial statements, credit scores, and other relevant information to assess the
applicant's financial standing

● You will determine the terms of the loan, including the amount of funds, the interest rate, and
any other conditions that may apply
● You will make recommendations to the applicant to reduce their risk profile or improve their
chances of approval
● You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all underwriting activities
● You will communicate with stakeholders to explain underwriting decisions and answer any
questions they may have

What is your A game?
● You have 5+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in the financial services
industry and MSME segment.
● You must have strong analytical skills and are comfortable with numbers
● You have the ability to develop and implement risk management policies and strategies.
● You have knowledge of credit underwriting principles and practices.
● You are proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with credit risk management software.
● You have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
● You must be familiar with industry regulations and guidelines, as well as current market trends
and economic conditions
● You must have a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field and exposure to
banking / financial services is a must - CA preferred
● Idea generator – you must have high energy and love thinking of better ways of analyzing risk.
