Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement processes
within our healthcare organization. This role ensures the efficient acquisition of high-quality medical
supplies, equipment, and services at competitive prices. The Procurement Manager will work closely
with various departments to understand their needs, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts,
and manage supplier relationships to support the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:
o Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's
supply needs.
o Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their
capabilities.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective
procurement.
• Supplier Management:
o Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
o Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual
obligations.
o Address any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.

• Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
o Oversee the inventory management process to ensure optimal stock levels.
o Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to manage the supply chain
efficiently.
o Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and supply chain
operations.
o Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to standards and identify areas for
improvement.
• Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
o Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the team.
o Provide training and support to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
• Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and
performance metrics.
o Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for
improvement.
o Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure
procurement effectiveness.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a
related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the healthcare
industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management
(CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)) is a plus.
